Are you an experienced Lift Service/Callout Engineer looking for a dynamic role covering London and the Home Counties? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Service and Repair Department to ensure the safety, reliability, and compliance of lift systems across our contracted sites.
The Role
As a Lift Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, callouts, and repair of all lift equipment in accordance with current British and European Standards. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will deliver both planned maintenance and reactive support while maintaining the highest levels of safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing planned and reactive maintenance on all lift contracts.
- Responding to emergency callouts and performing necessary remedial works.
- Carrying out asset verification and conducting site surveys.
- Completing digital job sheets accurately and on time.
- Installing replacement or additional lift equipment as needed.
- Participating in the on-call rota.
- Supporting the training and development of apprentices and assistants.
- Representing the company professionally to all clients.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Lifts.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of the latest British Standards for lifts.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, effective duty management, and the ability to identify and solve problems efficiently.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working within Social Housing.
- Asbestos awareness training.
