REClifts is now looking for an experienced Stairlift Engineer to join one of the fastest-growing independent stairlift companies in the UK that has tripled the size of the workforce in the last 2 years. With approved and budgeted staffing expansion plans over the next 12 months.
Stairlift Engineer Responsibilities:
- Install both straight and curved stairlifts, rip out replacement and refurbishments
- Provide day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance of contracts
- Conduct site surveys as required assessing for new stairlift repairs or installs
- Respond to emergency callouts and carry out remedial works - occasionally
- Act professionally and diligently, considering the needs of the client
- Able to communicate effectively on all levels, manage duties effectively, and pay attention to detail
The Ideal Stairlift Engineer:
- Stairlift Engineers must have at least 1 year of experience working on mobility equipment- ESSENTIAL
- Mechanical skill set required preferable in the stairlift sector - ESSENTIAL
- Electrical Qualifications - ESSENTIAL
- CSCS and /or SSSTS - DESIRABLE
- UK Driving license - ESSENTIAL
- Good understanding of the latest British Standards for lifts
- Knowledge of major manufacturers including Stannah, Meditek, Minivator, Handicare, Freeway, Acorn, Bison, Wessex, Terrys, Pollocks, Chiltern, Robin, OT200, Guldmann

Key Responsibilities of a Lift Engineer:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in lifts.
- Attend breakdowns promptly, minimising downtime and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Perform effective risk assessments and maintain site log cards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on all sites.

Requirements of a Lift Engineer:

- Full, clean driving licence - Preferred

This static site role will focus on routine servicing, minor repair works, and attending reactive call-outs across a dedicated and well-managed portfolio of lifts.
We're seeking a reliable, experienced lift engineer who enjoys fixing faults quickly, maintaining excellent client relationships, and delivering safe, high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine service visits across a localised lift portfolio
- Carrying out minor repairs, replacements, and adjustments
- Responding to breakdowns and completing first-time fixes where possible
- Participating in the call-out rota
- Working closely with service coordinators and supervisors to manage workload.
What You'll Need:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in lift service, repair, or call-out work
