Looking for a Lift Service Engineer role with a structured local patch, strong earning potential and an early finish on Fridays?
We’re recruiting for an experienced engineer to cover Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas, servicing and repairing lifts across commercial, residential and public sites.
You’ll manage your own allocated route, carrying out routine maintenance, attending breakdowns and using your fault-finding skills to keep lifts operating safely and reliably. You’ll have support from a local team when you need it, with work focused within your allocated area.
Working hours:
Monday–Thursday: 8am–4.45pm
Friday: 8am–3.45pm

We’re interested in engineers based in Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas who can cover a local service route across the area.
What you’ll be doing
- Servicing, repairing and maintaining lifts across your allocated patch
- Attending breakdowns and callouts
- Diagnosing faults and getting lifts back into service
- Maintaining safe and compliant working practices
- Completing site logs and service paperwork
- Delivering a reliable service to customers
What you’ll need
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent
- Experience servicing and repairing lifts
- Strong technical and fault-finding skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK — sponsorship is not available
