REClifts is now looking for 1 x Lift Repair Engineer in Reading or surrounding area. The role will aim to manage your own scheduled repair works independently. There will also be a callout rota to participate in either 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 depending on your preference.

Lift Repair Engineer must currently live a commutable distance from these areas:
Reading, Slough, Bracknell, Camberley, Woking, Guildford, Aldershot, Farnborough, Farnham, Basingstoke, Didcot, Abingdon, Oxford, Andover, Epsom, Hounslow, Southall, Croydon.

The Lift Engineer Duties:

• Perform in-depth diagnostics and troubleshooting of passenger lifts
• Inspect, test, and maintain lift systems, including motors, control systems, safety devices, hydraulic systems, and electrical wiring.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their specific lift issues, provide detailed reports, and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations & industry standards.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals to facilitate accurate diagnostics and repairs.
• Regular preventative maintenance should be conducted to prevent unexpected lift failures.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in lift technology and repair techniques.

Ideal Lift Engineer Candidate:

• Currently working as a Lift Repair Engineer or have transferable skills working as a Lift Modernisation Engineer or Lift Installation Engineer.
• You must have at least 2 years of experience working on passenger lifts
• Hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel around West of London, Surrey area
• Qualified to or above NVQ 3 (or equivalent) in a lift engineering discipline.

• Liaise directly with the customer whilst on site and build a good working relationship.
• Adhere to the company’s health and safety policies at all times.
• Escalator breakdown and minor repairs of a variety of escalator packages on the portfolio
• Complete repairs across a specified territory, ranging from minor to scheduled troubleshooting

This will be scheduled repair works that are typical of a service route, not major works. This lift engineering company will also pay for an NVQ 4 qualification upon completing a satisfactory notice period and upon request if this is desired by the recruit.

The Lift Engineer Company:

The Lift Engineer Duties:

• Competent in fault-finding diagnostics on passenger lifts
• Capable of first-time fixes of passenger lifts.
• Participate in an on-call rota flexible either 1 in 4 or 1 in 8.
• As a Lift Engineer, you will complete minor repairs on passenger lifts.
• Report defective lifting equipment and order new parts accordingly.

Lift Engineer: Ideal Candidate:
